Pranan (prf) Philippines The population of the Pranan is 16,700. They live in the region of the East coast of Isabela Province, Luzon and are surrounded by hills and are somewhat isolated. Alternate names for the language are Palanenyo, Palanan. Dialects include Palanan Dumagat (Palanan Valley Agta, Palanan Valley Dumagat), Casiguran Dumagat. Intelligibility of Casiguran Dumagat Agta [dgc] dialect. Palanan Dumagat intelligibility of Paranan Agta dialect is 98%, of Casiguran Dumagat 94%. with Palanan Dumagat, 87% with Casiguran Dumagat. The language classification is Austronesian, Malayo-Polynesian, Philippine, Northern Luzon, Northern Cordilleran, Northeastern Luzon. Northern language use is positive. Some also use Filipino or Ilocano. Language development includes literacy work and Pranan is taught in secondary schools. Bible portions were developed 1988. The writing system is in the Latin script. The ISO 639-3 code (agp) was retired after the publication of Ethnologue, 16th edition. The new code is (prf)
