Bejond-Nangda (Bedjond (bjv)) Chad There are 36,000 speakers of Bedjond living in Southwestern Chad, Mandoul region, Mandoul Occidental Department, Bediondo area, west of the Day-speaking area. Alternate names include Bediondo, Bediondo Mbai, Bédjonde, Bedjondo, Mbay Bediondo, Mbay Bejondo, and Nangnda. Dialects include Bedjond, Bébote, and Yom. The language is classified as Nilo-Saharan, Central Sudanic, West, Bongo-Bagirmi, Sara-Bagirmi, Sara, Sara Proper. Speakers have a positive attitude towards the language. This language is distinct from Sar or Ngambay.
