Hebrews Part 3: Sleepy Christianity

DAY 3 OF 18

Has Your Faith Gone Cold?

Ever feel like tossing your faith in the trash—like it’s broken, used up, or just doesn’t work anymore? Every week, we throw out what we don’t value, and some Christians start treating their confidence in Christ the same way—quietly discarding it piece by piece.

Not their salvation—that’s locked in. But their courage, clarity, and joy? That can get buried under guilt, neglect, or toxic influences. If your spiritual confidence is in the dumpster, it’s time to dig it out.

Hebrews 10:35 doesn’t say you can lose your salvation—because you can’t. But you can lose your confidence. Maybe you've stopped reading God’s Word and have started drifting. Maybe guilt from past sin keeps you stuck in shame. Maybe you’ve let the wrong people speak into your life and slowly wear you down.

However it happens, the result is the same: a believer who’s saved but not strong. Forgiven but not free. How about you? Have you lost confidence in your walk with Christ? Do you know someone who has? What needs to change so that faith rises, and confidence returns?

God didn’t save you to live defeated. He saved you to live boldly. If your confidence is gone, it’s time to get it back—one truth, one prayer, one step at a time. Don’t toss it. Rebuild it.

What if you lived like your confidence in Christ could never be stolen?
