DAY 20 OF 20

Sabbath Living

God didn't make Sabbath optional. He commanded it. One day a week, stop. Rest. Worship.

Why? Because we need it. We're not machines. We're humans who were designed to live in rhythm, not in constant motion.

Sabbath is a declaration: "God is in control, not me." It's saying, "I trust that the world will keep spinning without my effort for 24 hours."

In a culture that measures your worth by your productivity, Sabbath is an act of rebellion. It's refusing to believe the lie that you are what you produce.

You are loved. You are valued. You are enough. Even when you're doing nothing.

Sabbath isn't just about physical rest. It's about spiritual renewal. It's about stepping back from the chaos and remembering who God is and who you are in Him.

What would it look like for you to actually practice Sabbath? Maybe it's turning off your phone on Sundays. Maybe it's saying no to one commitment so you can say yes to rest. Maybe it's spending intentional time in worship instead of scrolling.

Whatever it looks like, do it. Not out of legalism. Out of love. Because God loves you enough to command you to rest.

And when you rest, you're not just obeying. You're trusting. You're worshiping. You're saying, "God, You're enough."

Question: What's one way you can practice Sabbath this week?

Practice: Pick one day this week. Don't work. Don't hustle. Just rest and worship. See what God does with your obedience.
