DAY 15 OF 20

Run Your Race

Your race isn't the same as everyone else's. Your body isn't the same. Your challenges aren't the same. Your capacity isn't the same. And that's okay.

God didn't call you to run someone else's race. He called you to run yours.

Stop comparing. The person who can work out for two hours a day while juggling a job and school? Good for them. That's their race. Yours might look like twenty minutes of walking because that's what you've got. Run that.

The person who meal preps every Sunday and has perfect discipline? Cool. Maybe you're just trying to remember to eat breakfast. Start there.

Throw off what hinders you. That might be comparison. It might be perfectionism. It might be the lie that says if you can't do it perfectly, you shouldn't do it at all.

And run with perseverance. Not with shame. Not with guilt. With the knowledge that God designed you specifically for the race He's given you.

You've got people cheering you on. Not just family and friends, but a whole cloud of witnesses who ran their races and finished well. They're rooting for you. God is rooting for you.

So lace up. Run your race. Not theirs. Yours. And keep running.

Question: What's one thing you need to throw off so you can run your race well?

Practice: Write down one comparison you keep making. Cross it out. Under it, write: "This is my race, and I'm running it."
