DAY 14 OF 20

It's Not About Perfection

Let's be real: you're not going to do this perfectly. You're going to have days when you eat terribly, skip your workout, stay up too late, and wake up feeling like a mess.

That's not failure. That's being human.

Paul, the guy who wrote half the New Testament, literally says, "I haven't arrived yet." If he's still pressing on, what makes you think you should have it all figured out?

The goal isn't perfection. It's perseverance. It's getting back up when you fall. It's making the next right choice even when the last one was a disaster.

Some days, taking care of your body looks like crushing a workout. Other days, it looks like letting yourself rest because you're actually exhausted. Some days, it's eating clean. Other days, it's giving yourself grace and trying again tomorrow.

God isn't grading you on how perfectly you manage your health. He cares that you're trying. He cares that you're moving forward, even if it's messy.

Jesus already secured the ultimate prize for you. Your value isn't based on how disciplined you are. It's based on what He did. That takes the pressure off. You're not earning anything. You're just stewarding what God gave you.

So when you mess up (and you will), don't spiral. Don't give up. Just press on. Keep going. One step at a time.

Question: What's one area where you've been too hard on yourself about taking care of your body?

Practice: Think of one thing you've been beating yourself up about. Say out loud, "I'm not perfect, and that's okay. Tomorrow's a new day."
