Day 10: Faithfulness Is the Lesson

Scripture: Luke 16:10 (NIV)

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

Jesus makes a direct connection between what you do with small things and what God trusts you with next. It’s not about scale. It’s about stewardship. If you’re faithful where you are, God opens doors to where He’s taking you.

David’s whole story proves this. Faithful with sheep. Faithful with errands. Faithful in the field when nobody was watching. And when the moment came for something bigger, he was ready. Not because he was the most talented person available, but because he’d been consistently trustworthy in the small stuff.

Here’s the gospel underneath it: Jesus lived the same pattern. He spent thirty years in obscurity before three years of public ministry. He worked as a carpenter. He served His family. He grew in wisdom quietly before He ever preached a sermon. And His ultimate act of faithfulness, the cross, is what opened the door for our salvation.

Because of Jesus, your ordinary faithfulness has eternal weight. The way you treat your family. How you show up at school. Whether you pray when nobody’s checking. It all matters. God sees it. And He uses it.

So don’t despise the small season. Don’t rush the process. Be faithful today, and trust God with tomorrow.
