DAY 9 OF 20

When Your Body Feels Broken

Some of you are reading this and thinking, "Cool, but my body doesn't work the way it's supposed to." Maybe you live with chronic pain. Maybe you have a disability. Maybe your body's been through trauma that left marks you didn't ask for.

This isn't about pretending that's not hard. It is. Bodies break. They fail. They carry scars. And that's painful, physically and emotionally.

But here's what Paul says: even when your body is falling apart, something deeper is being renewed. God is at work in you in ways that go beyond what you can see or feel.

Your value isn't tied to your physical ability. Your worth doesn't decrease because your body doesn't function the way someone else's does. God doesn't love you any different because of what your body can or can't do.

Jesus knows what it's like to have a body that's been broken. He carried scars, too. And He didn't hide them. After the resurrection, He showed them to His disciples. His broken body became proof of His love.

Your brokenness doesn't disqualify you. It doesn't make you less. If anything, it gives you a unique perspective on what it means to trust God when things don't go the way you hoped.

And one day, God promises to make all things new. That includes your body. The pain, the limitations, the scars, none of it is the end of the story.

Question: What's one thing about your body that feels broken right now?

Practice: Write down one way God has shown up for you, even when your body hasn't. Keep it somewhere you can see it when things get hard.
