Bible App for Kids – Discover God’s Big Story

DAY 30 OF 30

TODAY’S STORY

God’s Good News

Note to the parents:

During this story, take time to answer any specific questions your child may have. Consider revisiting some of the previous stories. If your child expresses that they are ready to trust in and follow Jesus, lead them in the short prayer of salvation provided at the end.

Help your child recall the story by asking simple questions about what happened.

Examples:

  • What breaks our relationship with God? (Sin)
  • Why did God send Jesus into the world? (To rescue us from sin and bring us back to God)
  • Did God leave us alone when Jesus went back to heaven? (No. God sent His Holy Spirit to help and teach us.)
  • Does God love me? Does God love you? (Yes!)

Together, think about what you have learned. Invite your child to ask you the question. Encourage them to add their thoughts or fill in a blank when prompted.

What did we learn about GOD?

  • God loves us very much.
  • But sin breaks our relationship with Him.
  • Sin broke God’s perfect world.

What did we learn about JESUS?

  • Jesus died to take on the consequences—the hurt—caused by our sins.
  • When He came back to life, Jesus broke the power of sin and death!
  • Jesus is alive today and wants to be your friend!

What did we learn about PEOPLE?

  • People can have a relationship with God again because of Jesus.
  • Each of us is invited to join God’s family.

What did we learn about YOU?

  • You are loved!
  • Jesus wants you to join His family and be a part of God’s Big Story by trusting and following Jesus.
  • Do you believe that you need Jesus to forgive all of your sins?
  • Do you trust Him and want to be a part of His family?
  • (If Yes) Are you ready to pray and ask God to forgive and save you?

If your child says YES to these questions, invite them to pray this prayer by repeating it after you. Then celebrate with them!

Let's pray together.

God,
I have sinned. But I believe Jesus died for my sins.
I believe that Jesus came back to life.
I want Jesus' gift of forgiveness. Please forgive me so that I can be part of Your family.
Thank you for loving me!
Amen.

If your child is unsure, it’s okay. Don’t pressure them. Trust that God is planting seeds of truth and faith in their hearts. You may revisit this again later if they’ve simply lost interest for today, or you can say something like this to them:

Okay. Do you have questions about what this means?

I want you to know that Jesus’ invitation to be forgiven and join His family will never go away. His love for you will never give up. You just let me know when you’re ready.

For now, let’s pray together.

God,
Thank You for inviting me to join Your family.
Help me to know how much I need You and how much You love me.
Amen

Closing Note to Parents:

Over the past 30 days, you have done something so simple yet impactful with your child. You have shown them how good and important God’s Word is, and that it is through His Word that we get to know God and learn how to live as part of His Big Story.

Keep it up! Invite your child into conversations about Jesus throughout their day. Remind them that He’s always with them and loves them. Encourage them to ask you questions, then look for answers in the Bible stories together. And pray with them daily—reflecting on who God is, what His desires are of us, and how we need His Holy Spirit to help us every day.

Revisit these stories and more in the Bible App for Kids as you continue to help your child fall in love with God and His Word.
