Rescued: God's Grace for the Hardest Parts of Your Story

DAY 6 OF 7

“Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and went in to her and lay with her; and she gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. Now the Lord loved the child.”
—2 Samuel 12:24 AMP

Bathsheba’s story didn’t end in shame or sorrow. Out of her pain came a son, Solomon. And Scripture makes it clear: “the Lord loved him.”

Imagine that. The very place of Bathsheba’s deepest wound became the soil where God planted a legacy of grace. Solomon grew to be one of Israel’s greatest kings, remembered for wisdom and for building God’s temple. Bathsheba, once marked by tragedy, became part of something far bigger than herself.

Sister, this is the power of God’s redemption. What the enemy meant for evil, God can transform into good, not only for you, but for generations after you. Your healing, your surrender, your “yes” to God today can shape a legacy of faith and freedom for your children, your family, and even people you may never meet.

The story of your pain doesn’t end with you; it can become the beginning of hope for others.

Journal Prompt:

What kind of legacy do you want your healing to leave for those who come after you?

Prayer:

“Lord, thank You for the reminder that my story is not wasted. Take my healing and use it to build a legacy of grace, wisdom, and faith that will outlive me. May others see Your goodness through the way You’ve rescued me. Amen."

About this Plan

Rescued: God's Grace for the Hardest Parts of Your Story

Rescued is a 7-day devotional written by Ginia Bishop, author of GRACE TO START OVER: YOU ARE WORTHY OF A NEW BEGINNING, for the woman who finds herself in a dark valley, carrying wounds she never asked for, and pain she can’t seem to shake. Like Bathsheba, maybe you’ve endured betrayal, loss, or moments that turned your world upside down. You’ve buried tears, questioned God, and wondered if He truly sees you. This plan reminds you that He does.
