Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year OneSample

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
Are you living up to your heavenly status?
Paul addresses the Ephesian believers about their elevated status in Ephesians 1:1—3:21. Positionally, they are seated with Jesus. The apostle to the Gentiles reminds the saints that God “raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6). Not only are we crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20), but also because of His resurrection “should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). Now that we positionally sit with Jesus in heaven, we enjoy “the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7) and mercy (Ephesians 2:4). In essence, all the spiritual blessings of Jesus are shared with us because we are “heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:17).
Employment Point: Live up to your riches in Christ because of your heavenly seat.
