This letter is also written by the Apostle Paul and serves as a continuation from the first letter about the return of Jesus because there were those in the church still confused about the second coming of Jesus Christ. Their belief in the imminent return of Jesus had caused some to become anxious and others to become lazy because they reasoned since Jesus would be returning any day, there was no purpose in being productive or having a job. Paul gave further teaching about prophecy and what is to be expected for both believers and those who do not receive the Gospel of Jesus.
