River Valley Church SOAP - Part 9Sample

Paul had established a church in Ephesus and wrote this letter in 63 or 64 A.D. and turned the leadership over to one of his close associates, Timothy. Timothy was named throughout many of Paul’s letters. His father was of Greek origin and mother a devout Jew. In this letter, Paul outlines to Timothy how to confront those whose message of Christ has gotten distorted. He encourages Timothy to go back to the prophetic words he received throughout his life as helping bring organization to this church. Paul also gives specific instruction regarding worship and leadership criteria for those within the ministry so that growth will continue in this region of Asia.
