River Valley Church SOAP - Part 9Sample

Titus was a minister who Paul left to establish a church in Crete. Paul and Titus's relationship went back to Paul’s earlier ministry in Galatia, and Paul worked with him during his third missionary journey in helping establish Ephesus. Crete was an island in the Aegean Sea and was known for its immorality. The time of this letter was between 63-65 A.D.
The book of Philemon was written in 60 A.D. by Paul. Philemon was a letter written to a believer who lived in Colosse and was a slave owner. One of his slaves was Onesimus and was stolen from him and then ran away, but became a follower of Christ, and now was returning to his master Philemon. Paul encouraged him to accept Onesimus back as a brother in Christ despite the wrong he did to his master.
