Always and Forever 

There is a proverb that goes like this: “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” But how many of you can really find this kind of friend these days? Everyone has become so self-centered. My beloved friend, it is difficult to find a faithful friend at all times. 

One day, Peter told Jesus that if anything happened to Him he would give his life and protect Him. But what happened? When the Roman soldiers came to arrest Jesus, all of His disciples fled. When Peter was questioned whether he was one of disciples he said that he didn’t know Jesus and cursed Him with His own mouth. Even Jesus was left alone by the people who were with Him as His own brothers. 

My beloved, people of this world tend to change according to their circumstances. It is truly quite difficult to find a friend who stays faithful forever. But our Lord God Jesus declares that He will be with you all the time. The Lord says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Times may change, men may change or your closest friend may betray you. But God will never leave you; He will always be with you. Even when Peter betrayed Jesus, Jesus never hated him but looked at him with loving kindness and lifted him up. The Lord will lift you up similarly. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank and praise You for the word of blessing You have given me today. Though the world will forsake me, I know You will never leave me. Lord, thank You for being by my side always. Like my forefather Abraham, be my friend always. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
