Forgiven and HealedSample

The Snare is Broken
You may have carried hurts for many years. The human soul was not designed to labor under prolonged offence and emotional toxicity.
Offence is a snare. Scripture calls it the root of bitterness for a reason; It defiles. When bitterness takes root, it’s hard to let go. When hurt is retained, the heart becomes burdened and the mind grows weary. Ability to hold on to offense is not strength. It is captivity (Hebrews 12:15).
No one was created to thrive under bitterness. It is foreign to our new nature in Christ. The Spirit within us forgives and releases easily. Grace and strength to forgive are already available. Lay hold on God’s provision. Where offence has held tightly, let its grip be broken. Let your soul escape every snare. Let strength return.
Today, make a decision to release. Pray this prayer:
Lord, I recognize the hurt for what it is. I see that it is a trap, and traps are meant to be escaped. I release those who hurt me. I release the past. I release the offence. As I release the hurt, the snare breaks and my soul escapes. I am restored within. I am stable in my emotions. I am free in my conscience, in Jesus’ name.
Now let me pray for you:
Father, I pray for the one reading this who is struggling with deep emotional wounds. I ask that grace be supplied to forgive and to release. Where there has been betrayal, rejection, dishonor, or prolonged disappointment, let healing begin.
Your Word says that the chastisement of our peace was upon Christ. Peace has been purchased. I pray that peace settles in every troubled heart. Let emotional wounds be healed. Let mental strain be lifted.
As you extend forgiveness, your own freedom follows. As your heart releases your offenders, your healing flows.
Be Healed, Be Whole, Be Well.
In Jesus’ name.

About this Plan

Forgiveness and healing are not separate promises. They flow together from the same finished work of Christ. In this 7 day devotional, we trace the covenant thread from Isaiah to Galatians and see how redemption answers the curse of the law. Through Scripture, this plan establishes that sickness is not divine punishment and that righteousness has already been imputed through Christ. As we receive forgiveness fully, we are freed from guilt, legalism, and self accusation. As we release offence and extend grace, we walk in the liberty secured for us in redemption.
