Forgiven and HealedSample

The Force of Righteousness
Even when we make mistakes, and we all do, righteousness covers and establishes us. It gives our faith authority. That is why we can resist the devil, sin, sickness, and disease. It is an error to embrace sickness and assume, “Perhaps God is punishing me for something I did.” No. That is not the covenant. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). When our weaknesses collide with the force of righteousness, righteousness prevails.
According to 1 Peter 2:24, Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree. He did not only take our sins, He took the consequences of our sins, so that we might bear the fruits of righteousness.
Isaiah 53:4-5 says, “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities… the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” What was spoken prophetically in Isaiah 53 was fulfilled at the cross (1 Peter 2:24).
Calvary was the consummation of the Father’s love. Jesus’ sacrifice became the covenant foundation upon which you and I receive healing every time, without question.
God’s love for us is irrevocable. He does not love us until our next mistake. He loved us enough to bear our transgressions, our iniquities, and the punishment required for our peace.
If you are forgiven then you are healed. Forgiveness and healing come together in the finished work of Christ. Praise God, it has come together for you.

About this Plan

Forgiveness and healing are not separate promises. They flow together from the same finished work of Christ. In this 7 day devotional, we trace the covenant thread from Isaiah to Galatians and see how redemption answers the curse of the law. Through Scripture, this plan establishes that sickness is not divine punishment and that righteousness has already been imputed through Christ. As we receive forgiveness fully, we are freed from guilt, legalism, and self accusation. As we release offence and extend grace, we walk in the liberty secured for us in redemption.
