Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 78 OF 365

But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses (Deuteronomy 34:10 NKJV).

Where does the life of Moses direct us?

In the book of Deuteronomy, we witness Moses' extraordinary death as God Himself buries the prophet (Deuteronomy 34:6). This act highlights Moses' unique relationship with God, as he is the only person in Scripture recorded to receive such an honor.

But Moses was more than just a prophet; he foretold the coming of another Prophet, whom God would raise up from among the people (Deuteronomy 18:15).

Jesus was the prophet that Moses foresaw! However, Jesus surpasses the role of a mere prophet. The angel's announcement to Mary reveals His divine nature and eternal reign as the Son of God and the fulfillment of David's royal lineage (Luke 1:30–33).

Through Jesus, God establishes an everlasting kingdom, fulfilling the promises made to David and extending far beyond his earthly reign.

Take some time and reflect on the significance of Moses' prophecy and the fulfillment found in Jesus Christ, the eternal King whose kingdom knows no end.

Employment Point: Worship Jesus, who is Prophet, Priest, and King!
