Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 334 OF 365

The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea (Psalm 93:4 NKJV).

Are you reflecting God’s glory?

Ezekiel’s instructions to Israel’s leaders emphasize the need for holiness and integrity in worship. This same call for integrity is found in Peter’s warning against false teachers, who manipulate and lead people astray with self-serving teachings (2 Peter 2:1-3). Just as Israel had to safeguard the purity of their worship, we too must stay vigilant against doctrines that twist the truth or distort God’s character.

In a culture flooded with opinions and teachings, many claiming to be Christian, it’s critical to keep our foundation in Scripture. When we compare every teaching to God’s Word, we’re able to discern what is true and remain faithful to Jesus. God has chosen His children to reflect His glory. We must rely on the Holy Spirit, who guides us in truth, ensuring our worship, beliefs, and lives are rooted in Him.

Employment Point: Reflect God’s glory through godly living.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
