Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one (1 Corinthians 2:15 NKJV).
Are you a spiritual father, young man, or child?
Faith isn’t static; it’s meant to grow. In today’s reading from 1st John, the old apostle writes to children who celebrate God’s mercy, young men who conquer evil, and fathers who know God deeply (1 John 2:12-14). Each stage represents a different level of spiritual maturity.
Where are you on that journey? Like Daniel, who resolved to honor God in small things, growth happens when we consistently choose to honor God in our daily lives. Are you feeding on His Word, spending time in prayer, and stepping out in faith? I encourage you to commit to at least one action that will help you grow spiritually.
Employment Point: Purpose to become a spiritual father in the faith.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
