Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:21 NKJV).
Do you live as if God will fulfill every prediction in the Bible?
Ezekiel 40-48 continues his vision of the future millennial temple, a place symbolizing holiness for God’s people. Just as Israel was called to pursue holiness in the temple, we’re called to pursue holiness and spiritual growth in our lives, even in the midst of persecution and suffering.
2 Peter 1:5-7 encourages us to “give all diligence” to grow in faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, and love. Growth requires effort, intention, and reliance on God’s Spirit. Growth requires effort, intention, and reliance on God’s Spirit. Reflect on your walk with God: Are you growing in your knowledge of Him and the qualities He values? He’s given you everything you need to grow, equipping you through His Spirit and Word.
Employment Point: Endure present persecution and suffering for the kingdom is coming.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
