Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

You are My flock, the flock of My pasture (Ezekiel 34:31 NKJV).
Are you living according to your holy calling?
Peter says in 1 Peter 2 that each of us are part of a royal priesthood and a holy nation, called to proclaim God’s greatness. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9 NKJV). Being set apart for Him means living a life that reflects His goodness and mercy.
Our calling is to be light in the world, living in ways that honor God. We’re meant to stand out, not blend in. When we drift from our calling, God gently brings us back, for we are His special people, chosen to bring Him glory. Embrace the identity He’s given you and live each day as a response to His goodness.
Employment Point: Live your life as a daily offering to God.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
