Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:14 NKJV).
Why should Jesus’ shed blood leave you without bloody hands?
The Bible tells us in Ezekiel 33 that Ezekiel was called to be a watchman, warning Israel of impending judgment. If he failed to sound the alarm, their blood would be on his hands (Ezekiel 33:6–8). Peter tells Christians in 1 Peter 1 that we are given the gift of salvation through the precious blood of Christ. This redemption isn’t something to keep to ourselves. Jesus’ sacrifice compels us to share His saving grace with others.
If we stay silent and watch others wander away from God, will we regret the missed opportunities to speak the truth in love? Let’s take our calling as watchmen seriously. Share the hope you have in Christ so others may find redemption through Him.
Employment Point: Value your costly redemption by telling others about Jesus’ sacrifice for their salvation.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
