Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV).
Are you qualified to be in God’s Hall of Faith?
In Ezekiel 14, God holds up men like Noah, Daniel, and Job as examples, showing Israel what it looks like to live by faith (Ezekiel 14:14, 20). These men didn’t let problems derail their trust in God. Likewise, Hebrews 11 speaks of Moses enduring “as seeing Him who is invisible” (Hebrews 11:27 NKJV).
It’s easy to feel inadequate, but God isn’t looking for perfection; He’s looking for faithfulness. Like Moses and others, we’re invited to trust God over what we see, standing firm against worldly pressures.
Employment Point: Walk by faith, and not by sight, to qualify for God’s Hall of Faith.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
