Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father (John 14:12 NKJV).
What should we ask God for as we serve Him?
When you serve, ask God for His power to work through you. God delights in doing incredible things, not by our strength but by His Spirit. In Titus chapter 3, Paul instructs us to maintain good works, reminding us of the zeal we should have because of our redemption.
We don’t serve alone—Jesus Himself intercedes for us, fueling our efforts with divine power. So, whether your work is large or small, pray continually, asking God to show His might through your actions. Your service is precious to Him, and He is eager to infuse it with His power to accomplish great things.
Employment Point: Maintain good works while asking God to display His vast power through you.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
