Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah and said to him: “The LORD your God has pronounced this doom on this place. Now the LORD has brought it, and has done just as He said. Because you people have sinned against the LORD, and not obeyed His voice, therefore this thing has come upon you” (Jeremiah 40:2–3 NKJV).
Are you sharing the urgent message of salvation with others?
Just as Jeremiah warned Israel, the writer of Hebrews reminds us not to ignore “so great a salvation” (Hebrews 2:3 NKJV). Even those familiar with God’s message can be complacent, as Israel was, leading to their tragic downfall.
Today, we’re entrusted to share the gospel so others may escape judgment and experience eternal life in Christ. Let your words and actions urge others to take God’s gift seriously, praying they respond before it’s too late.
Employment Point: Encourage the lost to believe in Jesus before judgment comes.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
