Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you” (Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV).
How can you and the Lord become inseparable?
God desires a relationship with you that cannot be shaken. In Jeremiah, He declares a new covenant with His people, one where He writes His law directly on their hearts. Likewise, Titus 2 reminds us of Jesus, “who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works” (Titus 2:14 NKJV). Through His sacrifice, He paid a great price to bring you near. This relationship with God isn’t fleeting; it’s built on the bedrock of Christ’s sacrifice.
So, how do we honor this costly redemption? By walking in holiness and staying close to Him daily. Let every choice reflect your gratitude for this gift and live knowing that God desires a bond with you that’s as enduring as His love.
Employment Point: Know God personally through His Son’s death, and intimately through personal holiness.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
