Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

DAY 311 OF 365

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15 NKJV).

Why should you trust Jesus for victory over sin?

Jesus stands as your ultimate High Priest, perfectly suited to intercede for you. Unlike earthly priests who lived and died, Jesus’ priesthood is eternal. Today’s reading in Hebrews highlights that we have a High Priest who always lives to intercede for us, knowing our weaknesses and offering compassion.

When you’re tempted to sin or are struggling with life, come boldly to Jesus, trusting in His sympathy and strength. Jesus meets you right where you are, offering mercy at the perfect moment.

Employment Point: Depend upon Jesus as your High Priest because of His preeminent priesthood, perfect person, and punctual provision.

About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
