Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward (Psalm 127:3 NKJV).
Do you value the many gifts God has given you?
In life, it’s common for parents to pass on an inheritance to their children. The Bible says that “Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD” (Proverbs 19:14 NKJV). Both a wise spouse and children are blessings from God. We should appreciate and thank God for these gifts.
Another blessing is the gift of intimacy within marriage. However, Paul warns believers to use God’s gifts rightly when he writes, “Because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband” (1 Corinthians 7:2 NKJV).
Take some time and thank God for the gifts in your life, whether they’re relationships, provisions, or other blessings. Celebrate and appreciate them as gifts from Him.
Employment Point: Celebrate the gifts of a godly spouse and children.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
