Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways (Psalm 128:1 NKJV).
Do you walk daily with reverence for the Lord?
Our heavenly Father doesn’t show partiality. He promises blessings to everyone who respects and follows Him. Whether you are single or married, God will bless you if you walk with Him. Paul notes that being single can allow for greater focus on serving the Lord without distraction (1 Corinthians 7:35). Daniel is one such biblical example; he is a single man who brings great glory to God. Indeed, he dedicates himself to God (Daniel 1:8), maintaining a close walk with Him through daily scheduled prayer (Daniel 6:10).
Regardless of your relationship status, God desires to bless those who honor Him with their lives. The psalmist promises, “When you eat the labor of your hands, you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you” (Psalm 128:2 NKJV). Since the Lord is eternally blessed (Romans 9:5), He loves to bless. We should make a daily effort to walk closely with God, seeking His guidance and enjoying His blessings.
Employment Point: Fear God, who desires to bless those who walk with Him.
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
