A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

DAY 9 OF 42

“The only man who makes no mistakes is the man who never does anything.”

-Theodore Roosevelt-

Theodore Roosevelt knew that the secret to a productive life is action. He practiced this maxim throughout his journey, whether it was on the battlefields of Cuba, or leading this great nation as one of its finest presidents. He also knew that mistakes are inevitable. If it wasn’t for mistakes, we would never learn anything.

Praise God that our Creator gave us this knowledge as well! As it says in today’s Bible verse, although we may stumble and fall over many obstacles in our lives, it is the righteous who rise up and try again. Only the wicked stay down for the count.

There is one ingredient that must be present in our walk with God in order to have the strength to keep on fighting, and that is faith. Without faith, we can’t even please God. (Hebrews 11:6) It is faith that produces action as well. Remember, faith without action to back it up is nothing but a dead faith! (James 2:17)

So, for today, let us get right back up when we stumble. Let us not look at a temporary downfall as a permanent conclusion. Let us rise up with the ultimate faith in our Creator’s work, and follow him up the lighted path into eternity.

About this Plan

A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

There is an unbreakable law of history. That which has happened before will happen again, if the same ingredients are present.  Looking at the lessons of history through the lens of God's word will provide us with the best ingredients to give us a God centered life. It is truly a recipe for success!
