A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

DAY 10 OF 42

“Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that’s the stuff life is made of.”

-Benjamin Franklin-

Benjamin Franklin was most likely one of the busiest people in the history of the universe, so he knew the unmistakable importance of time management. He filled the role of a printer, writer, statesman, inventor, and a whole slew of other things in his amazing lifetime. He certainly made the most of his time here on earth!

God also places a high value on time management skills, as can be plainly seen in today’s Bible verse. He desires for us to be careful how we spend it, and use His wisdom in our decision making. How we spend our lives is of utmost importance to Him!

If we go about our days just simply wandering around without any clear idea what we are doing, we are merely lost sheep! As Paul continues his thought in the next verse, he says, “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” (Ephesians 5:17) We must seek God’s will in everything we do in order to get the most out of our lives.

So, for today, let us seek God first before making any decisions, and let us search the scriptures daily to see what His will for us is in each and every moment. Let us see the eternal in the midst of the temporary, and walk in step with our Creator.
