A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

DAY 7 OF 42

“On the mountains of truth you can never climb in vain: either you will reach a point higher up today, or you will be training your powers so that you will be able to climb higher tomorrow.”

-Friedrich Nietzsche-

Every day we are faced with a challenge. Every day holds within its place new knowledge to gain, and new truths to learn. The great philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche describes this daily fact as a mountain climber’s journey. As he notes, some days we may seem to be stuck in place and will seem to gain no ground.

No part of this journey is in vain, however. Every step of the way serves it purpose, whether we are learning something new, or being prepared for an even greater truth tomorrow.

No more noble place is this evident then in our walk with God. As Peter instructs in today’s verse, we must grow in the knowledge and grace of God. This daily walk is inevitably strewn with many difficult obstacles as we face the trials of life, but we must be overcomers if we desire this growth. Only then may we eat of the tree of life in the paradise God has in store for us. (Revelation 2:7)

So, for today, let us see every obstacle as a mere stepping stone in our journey with Christ. Let us climb the mountain of truth with utmost desire, and with the courage and perseverance of a true-born child of the Living God. Let us eat of the tree of life, be filled with righteousness, and receive true paradise.

About this Plan

A Book Of Remembrance: Wisdom From The Ages

There is an unbreakable law of history. That which has happened before will happen again, if the same ingredients are present.  Looking at the lessons of history through the lens of God's word will provide us with the best ingredients to give us a God centered life. It is truly a recipe for success!
