Day Six - I Can Listen for God’s Voice
Yesterday we looked at how listening to God’s voice helps us make good choices and how we can listen to the bible. Today we will learn more about how to recognize God's voice.
READ:
‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3
When you stand outside and listen, what do you hear?
There are sounds that are familiar to you, sounds that you know.
When you listen, the sounds that you know are familiar because you have heard them many times before.
Samuel did not know that it was God speaking to him because he had not heard God’s voice before. But when he realised it was God, Samuel listened.
ASK:
Do you know God’s voice? - if you do that is amazing and you can keep listening to what He says to you.
But maybe for you this is all new and you are not sure?
That’s ok because God loves that we want to listen to Him.
Maybe today spend some time doing something you love. Then tell God you are listening and see what happens.
Remember, God loves you and wants you to know how wonderful you are. He loves that you want to listen to Him.
REMEMBER:
Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)
SAY:
I believe that the Bible has the greatest news,
That you gave to help us find our way.
Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere!
We trust what your word says.
You can use my words to share your message
You are with me everywhere.
In Jesus name
Amen.
