Day Two - I Can Listen for God’s Voice

Yesterday we learned how we can listen for God’s voice. Just like Samuel, we can tell God that we are listening. Today we will learn how we can listen for God’s voice when we read the bible. 

READ:

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3

Did you know that one of the ways God will speak to us is through His word - the Bible!

In the Bible we have many books. One of these is called the book of Psalms. 

The Book of Psalms is full of short prayers, stories, poems and even songs. 

Our memory verse this series is from the book of Psalms - why not read it again. 

You can use this verse as a prayer as you get to know God’s voice through reading His word.

ASK:

How do we get to learn about God and listen to what He wants to say to us?  

We can read the bible. There are so many good things to read about God, how He loves us and wants us to live. Remember the bible is like our map. It helps us to know the right path to follow. 

Can you find some other verses in the bible that help you to listen to God’s voice? 

Maybe, like Samuel, you can tell God you are listening? Read and say aloud 1 Samuel 3:10

SAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news You gave to help us find our way. 

Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere! 

We trust what Your word says.
