Day Five - I Can Listen for God’s Voice

Yesterday we looked at how listening to God’s voice helps us make good choices and how we can listen to the bible. Today we will look at 

READ:

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3.

When Samuel heard God’s voice again he said, “Speak, Lord. I am your servant, and I am listening.”

When someone speaks to us we often let them know we are listening, either by looking at them or by telling them we are listening. 

Once Samuel had told God he was listening, God started to talk to Samuel. 

ASK:

When you talk to God do you let Him know that you are ready to listen to Him? 

Maybe you could do this today?  

Remember, God will use many different ways to speak to us, maybe through a story, a song, or a verse in the bible.

Just like Samuel ,we can tell God that we are ready to listen to Him. 

REMEMBER:

Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)

SAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news,

That you gave to help us find our way. 

Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere! 

We trust what your word says. 

You can use my words to share your message

You are with me everywhere.
