Day Four - I Can Listen for God’s Voice
Yesterday we looked at how listening to God’s voice helps us make good choices and how we can listen to the bible. Today we will look at how we listen to God with our heart.
READ:
‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3
Did you know that we can listen with our heart? That’s right!
Our heart is wonderful because God made it to be that way!
When we listen to God with our heart, He helps us to be kind, brave, and happy.
ASK:
Do you sometimes have unhappy thoughts?
Do you sometimes worry about things?
What do you know that God will say to you when this happens?
Look in Philippians 4:8-9 it tells us;
"..continue to think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honourable and right and pure and beautiful and respected. And do what you learned and received from me. Do what I told you and what you saw me do. And the God who gives peace will be with you."
This is listening with our heart.
REMEMBER:
Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)
SAY:
I believe that the Bible has the greatest news You gave to help us find our way.
Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere!
We trust what Your word says.
You can use my words to share Your message
You are with me everywhere.
