Cooking Up Confidence (Week Four) Sample

Day Three - I can Hear from God. 

Yesterday we looked at what happened when God tried to speak to Samuel, shall we keep going and see if Samuel realises its God he can hear? 

READ:

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3

Samuel woke Eli up and said, “Here I am, Eli, you called me.”

Eli said to Samuel, “I didn’t call you, Samuel, go back and lie down,” answered Eli. 

Samuel went back and lay down again.

ASK:

Have you ever wondered why God chose the night time to speak with Samuel? 

Maybe it was because during the day time Samuel was busy with his jobs that it would be hard to hear God? 

Sometimes we can be so busy that we do not take time to hear what God wants to say to us. 

Take a moment now to talk to God. Stay quiet for just a few minutes and listen. What do you hear? 

REMEMBER:

 Open my eyes to see the wonderful things in your teachings. (Psalm 119:18)

SAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news,

That you gave to help us find our way. 

Your word can be shared with anyone, anywhere! 

We trust what your word says.
