Cooking Up Confidence (Week Four) Sample

Day Two - I can Hear from God. 

Yesterday we looked at how Samuel heard God’s voice but he was not sure who it was that was speaking to him. Let's continue with the story and see what happens when God tries to speak to Samuel. 

READ:

‘A Voice in the night’ in any Children’s Bible or 1 Samuel 3

One night Samuel was lying down in the tabernacle. 

All of the sudden Samuel heard a voice calling his name. 

Samuel quickly got up and ran to Eli’s room.

ASK:

How do you know when your grown up or friends are talking to you?  - You know them and recognise their voice. 

God wants to speak to us and will use many ways to do this - can you think of any ways that God speaks to you? 

God’s word - the Bible - is just one way that God speaks to us, what other ways did you think of? 

Maybe you could share about how God speaks to you with your grownups, your family or maybe you could ask your grownup to share it with us on Facebook or Instagram!

SAY:

I believe that the Bible has the greatest news,

That you gave to help us find our way.
