Forgive Others 

A girl was found murdered on the road and her mother was totally broken. The murderer was given a life sentence. The girl’s mother who was in a rage heard the voice of the Holy Spirit saying, “My daughter, forgive that man, so that your sins may be forgiven today.” The Holy Spirit strengthened and healed her heart and filled her with peace. So, she sent him a Bible and wrote on it, “I am sending you this Holy Bible to tell you that I have forgiven you. Read this Bible my son, and it will give you the hope of forgiveness from sin.” A few weeks later, that murderer wrote a letter with tears saying, “Thank you for forgiving me. I am an orphan. That is why I behaved like an animal. Today, I take you as my mother. I promise you, that I will support you in the place of your daughter for life when I am released. I have a mother today.” She began to live for her newly found son. 

Beloved, when the power of God fills you, you will forgive others. One cannot do this with his or her own strength. When unforgiveness is in a person’s heart, it harms that person first. It produces sickness. So, let this day be a day to examine yourself and release forgiveness to those who ought to receive it from you. Forgive and find new relationships being established. Live in health. 

Prayer

“Loving heavenly Father, I thank You for the love of God that has been poured into my heart, through the Holy Spirit. Help me to love my enemies. Help me to do good to those who hate me. I release myself from the consequences of unforgiveness. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
