Blessing For Todayគំរូ

A Queen in Disguise
In Scotland, there once lived a renowned and loving queen called Mary who often used to visit the common folks, wearing a simple dress. She would spend some time with them happily and return home. On one such occasion, she walked a long distance talking to some children. All of a sudden, dark clouds gathered and it started to rain. The queen knocked at a house nearby and said, “Please spare an umbrella. I shall return it tomorrow.” The woman gave her an old tattered umbrella, muttering to herself that it would not matter even if it was not returned. The next day, to her surprise some army officers visited her house and one of them held the tattered umbrella in his hands and said, “Her Majesty, the Queen has sent this to you. She wanted us to convey her thanks to you for having lent this umbrella for her use.” That woman felt very sorry and cried, “Alas! What an opportunity I have missed! If only I had lent the Queen a good umbrella, how great my reward would have been.”
In today’s passage from the Bible, Jesus says that when you give to the needy, you are giving to Jesus Himself. Don’t miss any opportunity to treat these little ones well, who are really great in the sight of God. Meet your king or your queen today with an open heart and out stretched arms.
Prayer
“Loving Father, I thank You for another day You have given me to be a blessing for others. Help me not to be miserly; but bless me with a generous heart. Help me to give my best for others with a cheerful heart. I am indeed blessed to be a blessing. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
‘You are blessed to be a blessing!’

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work. We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
