Symbol of Victory 

War! This word brings swords, knives, guns, bombs and bloodshed to your mind, right? Above all, two more words will also flash across your mind – victory and defeat. But, beloved your war is over and the result is victory. Many years ago, there was a great emperor called Constantine. He had to wage a war to fight the enemy and it was felt that he would lose the battle. The enemy was well fortified with skilled soldiers whereas he had an unskilled group fighting alongside him. He was greatly dismayed. Suddenly by midday, a “Cross” appeared in the sky and he heard a voice saying, “Conquer by this! This is the sign!” He did not know anything about the “Cross” but he used it as the emblem for his army. He put the symbol of the cross on all his banners, shields and on the weapons of the warfare. He went to battle and conquered Rome easily. Later, he became instrumental in spreading Christianity around the world. 

Dear friend, do you feel that you are living a life of failure and loss? Do not be disheartened. The Lord Jesus defeated the devil and overcame the devil’s works on the cross. Your victory has already been earned on the cross. So victory is assured for you today. Whatever be your need, look up to Jesus who hung on the cross for you. He will supply your need. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for dying on the cross for me. I believe that You bore all my sins, sicknesses, debts, curses and emotional pain on the cross. You ripped the devil off of all his weapons. I look up to the cross where my victory is assured. Today, lead me in victorious path. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
