Cross your Channel

Years ago, my father met a young boy named Kutraleeswaran who created a record by swimming across the English Channel. My father asked him, “Young boy, how were you able to perform this feat?” He replied, “Uncle, the water was very cold but I had the zeal to perform this feat. Within a short while after I started swimming, fear gripped me and I wondered, ‘Can I reach the shore? Do I have the stamina to do it?’ Moreover, there were dangerous fishes in the water and strong currents too. But I heard a voice saying, ‘My son! Do not worry. Daddy is with you, you can do it.’ I turned and saw my father by my side in a boat. The world applauds me for my feat. But I owe all this appreciation and fame to my father who was instrumental for this extraordinary feat which I accomplished.”

If an earthly father could encourage his son in such a manner, don’t you think that your heavenly Father loves you more than every earthly father? Truly, Jesus will neither leave you nor forsake you. He is true to His word. The sufferings and discouragements of this world are like dangerous fishes and strong currents. They may be close to you. But, remember that God is in you and with you. With Him by your side, you can cross the channel.

Prayer

“Loving Father, I surrender all my weakness and inabilities to You. Remove every fear and fill me with Your goodness in body, mind and spirit. Help me to take victory with You by my side. I thank You for Your constant flow of grace in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

‘The constant presence of Jesus will enable you cross the channel’

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
