Transfer of Righteousness

Transfer happens in school, jobs and property. But, the greatest transfer occurred on the cross. The poison of sin was transferred and replaced on the cross, with righteousness of God.

There are native doctors in India who treat snake bites. If a man is bitten by a snake, he is brought to him. The doctor will then make a small cut in the affected area and take a live hen and keep its rear side on the bitten place, which has been cut open. The rear side of the chicken has the property to draw out all the poison. As the treatment proceeds, the poison will be transferred to this live hen and soon it starts writhing in pain and suffers from breathlessness. Slowly, all the poison would be transferred from the body of the affected person to the hen. The man will live. Alas! The poor hen will die.

This is what Jesus did for us. When He died on the cross, all our sins were transferred onto Him and His righteousness was transferred onto us. Today, you are the righteousness of God. There is no sin or its consequences in you. Yes, Jesus took all your sins upon Himself. His abundant life is yours today. Speak “life” into every area of your life and enjoy all the days of your life with the understanding of “righteousness”.

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank You for sending Your only son Jesus for me and taking away all my sins through His death on the cross. Thank You for imputing Your righteousness onto me. I will proclaim Your goodness. May those who are dwelling in darkness come into this light of salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Blessing For Today

Every day we must know the plans that the Lord has kept in store for our lives. The Lord has given us His word to reveal His plans to us. He reveals His plans through the word of God as we read it with reverence and prayer. When we hear His voice through our meditation of His word our hearts will burn like fire filled with joy (Psalm 39:3). Then as we follow it with proclamation of those words through the power of the Holy Spirit through our prayer, the blessings of that day will come upon us. Not only the blessings, but the grace of God shall come upon us to carry out that day’s work.  We have compiled the Bible passage for you to read as well as the Lord’s revelation for each day. We pray that through this the Lord may give you the grace to be connected to Him throughout this year.
