Throw Away! 

Once, terrorists were planning to attack a great city. They planned it so well that in the day time, the terrorists led a normal life in the neighbourhood, and at night, they were involved in infarious activities. One day, the terrorist gang went to a higher official’s house and killed him. They were filled with so much hatred. When the boy next door heard the noise, he came out to see what was happening. He was shocked to see the gruesome sight and started screaming. He was even more shocked to see the leader of the terrorists because it was his own friend. The gang leader without any mercy, killed the boy too. This incident shook that city. 

My friend, a heart filled with hatred becomes hard. Eventually, a hardened heart makes one forget the very nature of being merciful and kind. It destroys the attitude of gratitude. It will make you forget the good things that others have done for you. This is how the Israelites hardened their hearts too, failing to remember all that the Lord had done for them. And the Lord grieved over them. Today, God wants you to acknowledge and repent for your folly. Forget the mistakes of others; forgive them as Jesus forgives you; cast away the hatred from your heart and be grateful to God for His tender mercies. 

Prayer

“Loving Father, I thank you for speaking to me through this word of blessing. Lord, You are my Father and I am Your child. Please remove the hatred I have in my heart. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I may love my family, my relatives and even those who are against me. This I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
