Wakeup Call! 

There was a shopkeeper. Every morning when he went to his shop, he would take his dog along with him. The dog would lie down in a corner of the shop and sleep from morning till night. When the shopkeeper closed his shop at night and prepared to return home, the dog would get up and walk behind him. One night, unfortunately, there was fire in his shop. All the goods that were inside was burnt to ashes. When the shopkeeper came to the shop, he was shocked to see that even his dog had been charred to death. The dog that had been fast asleep as usual had failed to wake up. Sadly, while sleeping the dog, perished in the fire. 

My precious friend, you should ask yourself whether you are slumbering like this little dog that perished in the flames. The fire of destruction, which is engulfing the world, will destroy you and separate you from God Himself. In this worldly life, you should always be alert because the Lord is coming soon. The devil is all set to destroy the people by enticing them, showing the pleasures of the world and drawing them towards his kingdom. He works vigorously to close down the doors of evangelism everywhere. If you are asleep in the spirit, in an unguarded moment you will be devoured by the devil. So, be vigilant and arise from your slumber. 

Prayer

“Loving Lord, I thank You for the word of blessing You have spoken to me today. Lord, I pray in Jesus name to fill me with Your anointing and raise me up from my sleep. Let me not be devoured by the devil but be vigilant and look forward to Your coming. Help me Father. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
