A meditation prayer Heavenly Father, what a delight it is to know that I’m not some biological accident. You designed me, created me, gave me life, and kindly sustain my life. Everything good in my life comes from you. You must love me a lot. Thank you! Lord Jesus, what a delight it is to know that you’re my rock, my connection to all the goodness and mercy of God. You saw my lost and sinful condition. You put me ahead of your own self and comfort. You paid the ultimate price for me, on a cross, so that I’d never have to experience God’s righteous indignation. You came to our world to lift me up to yours. My forgiveness, my feeling of being worth something, and my promise of eternal life all come from you. You must love me a lot. Thank you! Holy Spirit, what a delight it is to become more aware of your work in me. You bring me the knowledge and power of God’s Word. You create faith in my heart and are the holy impulse for all of my spiritual growth. You think me worth saving and help me work each day toward worship and service. Help me fight all evil urges, and teach me to do what is God-pleasing. All my spiritual gifts and strength come from you. You must love me a lot. Thank you! Holy Trinity, I’m honored that you care so much for me. Today, as every day, please use me in your service and keep my place in heaven ready for me. I pray in my Savior’s name. Amen.
