Making Disciples — Multiplying Life
The Great Commission isn’t just for pastors — it’s for every believer.
Jesus said go and make disciples. Don't go and make church attendees. Don't go and make converts. Disciples — people who learn to follow Jesus and teach others to do the same. That’s multiplication.
2 Timothy 2:2 shows us the pattern: Paul to Timothy, Timothy to reliable people, those people to others. Four generations in one verse. That’s how movements are built.
You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to be faithful. If you can read a passage with a friend and ask questions, you can disciple.
Matthew 28:18–20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
2 Timothy 2:1–2
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.
RESPOND

- What does Jesus actually command in Matthew 28, and what does that mean for you personally?
- What is the difference between making converts and making disciples?
- 2 Timothy 2:2 describes a chain — Paul, Timothy, reliable people, others. Where do you sit in that chain right now?
- What would it look like for you to disciple someone, even informally?
- Who is one person in your life you could start reading the Bible with or asking these kinds of questions with?
