DAY 8 OF 10

Sharing the Gospel — Good News for Everyone

The gospel isn’t just good news for you — it’s good news for everyone around you.

Romans 1:16 says the gospel is the power of God for salvation. It’s not just a nice story. It changes lives. And Romans 10 asks: how will people hear unless someone tells them?

That someone is you. Not because you have all the answers, but because you’ve met Jesus and that’s enough to start. You don’t need a microphone or a platform. You just need courage and love. Let your life and your words point people to Him.

Luke 10:1–9

After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. When you enter a house, first say, 'Peace to this house.' If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.'"

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Romans 10:9–15

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

Matthew 5:14–16

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.:"

RESPOND

Read: Luke 10:1–9 | Romans 1:16 | Romans 10:9–15 | Matthew 5:14–16

  1. What do these passages show you about why the gospel is worth sharing?
  2. Romans 10 asks: " How will they hear unless someone tells them?” Who in your life needs to hear the gospel?
  3. Paul says he is not ashamed of the gospel. Is there anything that makes you hesitant or nervous about sharing your faith?
  4. Matthew 5 says you are the light of the world. What does that mean for how you show up at school, work, or home?
  5. What is one simple, honest way you could share your faith with someone this week?
