Flip the ScriptSample

When You Don’t See Him
Sometimes the hardest place to be in isn’t pain … It’s confusion.
That place where you thought God was going to move … and He didn’t do it the way you expected. Where hope feels like it slipped through your hands, and now you’re left trying to make sense of what just happened. You’re not angry—you’re just unsure.
That’s where these two disciples were.
They had believed Jesus was the answer. They had watched, followed, and hoped. But now, as they walked away from Jerusalem, all they could see was what looked like defeat. In their minds, the cross had ended everything.
The story, as far as they could tell, was over.
But what they didn’t realize was this: Jesus was walking right beside them. They talked to Him, processed their disappointment before Him. Walked miles with Him … and yet still didn’t recognize Him.
That’s how it can feel sometimes.
God is moving—but we don’t see it. He is present—but we don’t feel it. He is working—but it doesn’t look like we thought it would.
And yet, the truth remains:
God flips the script—even when you don’t recognize He’s in the story. He’s always closer than your awareness. And sometimes He’s speaking through what you don’t yet understand.
So if you’re in a season where God feels distant, don’t let discouragement write the conclusion.
You may not recognize Him yet … but He’s walking with you right now.
When you feel it or don’t, you can always be assured the Father is “Flipping the Script.”
Prayer:
Father, open my eyes so I can see You and all You have for me. I know that Your promises are "yes" and "amen", and You have promised me a perfect outcome. Let me see the overflow of Your invisible Spirit as all creation declares Your glory. I walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus’ name, amen.
